Nathan Paulse Believes His Side Where More Determined Than Kaizer Chiefs In The MTN8 Final

Ajax Cape Town striker, Nathan Paulse, thinks that his team's hunger and ambition guided them to victory in the MTN8 final against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend.

Paulse was fouled in the box in the 55th minute and stepped up to convert the resultant penalty, handing Ajax a 1-0 victory over their more fancied opposition.

The Urban Warriors went into the game as underdogs and the veteran striker believes that after missing out on winning the Nedbank Cup to Sundowns at the end of last season, his side were up for the challenge and wanted the win more.

"It's no secret that Kaizer Chiefs are a big team and a bigger brand, so we were obviously the underdogs, but I don't think it was a big factor for us, you know."

"I think our hunger and ambition were important for us. How much we wanted it after having been in a final not long ago and what we gained from that experience… that was more in our heads than anything else."

"We had an ideal week. Having the nerves is good, but it's how you control them that's important," Paulse told Soccer Laduma.
