Lebogang Manyama Eager For Cape Town City To Start With A Bang

Lebogang Manyama is eager for Cape Town City to start their campaign with a positive result when they host Polokwane City on Saturday.

City will get their 2017/18 campaign underway when they face Polokwane in the quarterfinals of the 2017 MTN8 competition tomorrow, August 12, and City's star player, Manyama, is happy to get the season underway with a home clash. He wants the Citizens to stamp their authority tomorrow.

"Obviously we know what Polokwane are capable of, we played them in the last game. They haven't made many signings, so we facing a team that plays the ball very well and they've got a couple of good individuals, Jabu Maluleke and Puleng Tlolane, so we know what to expect but obviously it is nice platform for us to start stamping our authority at home," Manyama told Soccer Laduma.

"Last season, I think we lost out at the end because of the points that we've dropped at home and now we've got a chance to start at home in the MTN8 competition and start with a bang," he added.

Saturday's encounter will be Head Coach Benni McCarthy's first match at the helm of the City bench. The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
