SuperSport will be the more confident of the sides after edging Maritzburg 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup first round clash last week Wednesday.
Matsatsantsa won back-to-back matches in two competitions after ending 2021 with a 3-2 win over Cape Town City.
The Team of Choice, meanwhile, will be looking to avoid a second straight defeat against the same side in a week but are without a win since edging TS Galaxy 1-0 in October last year.
Maritzburg's winless run in the league stretched to ten matches after a 2-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in their last outing of 2021 and as a result, sit in 13th spot, just one point above the relegation zone.
Matsatsantsa will be looking to beat Maritzburg for the third time this season after also beating them 2-1 in the first round clash in September last year at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
