Pirates last lost to runaway DStv Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in December but hit back with victories over Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu in the league before seeing off Usuthu in the Nedbank Cup and Algerian team JS Saoura in a CAF Confederation Cup group match.
The Soweto giants head in to this game in second place on the league standings, by a whopping 18 points, but having played two games less than the Brazilians.
Arrows, meanwhile, are down in 10th place with a nine point gap between them and Pirates, who they drew 0-0 with in the first round of games, in November.
The KwaZulu-Natal were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on penalties in their last clash, but were previously unbeaten in eight - having drawn six and won two.
The Pirates coaches went for the same line-up that started against Saoura on Sunday, with Gabadinho Mhango left out of the squad once.
