As the dust settles on Mamelodi Sundowns retaining their league title, we look at the Masandawana goal and assist charts for the season.
Pitso Mosimane's side scored 71 goals in their 52 games this season across five different competitions, with 40 goals scored in 30 PSL games, only the fourth-most in the division.

Sundowns have really spread out their goalscorers this season as they look to replace the influence of Percy Tau and Khama Billiat, whilst Sibusiso Vilakazi missed most of the season with an Achilles injury. An incredible 18 different players registered goals across all competitions, but Themba Zwane took the honours with 10 goals, albeit with just four in the PSL.
Of Zwane's 10 goals, three were assisted by Lebohang Maboe and three by Gaston Sirino as the trio dovetailed effectively. Six of his 10 goals came in buildup-focused attacks, whilst two others came from counter attacks.

Sirino delivered an incredible total of 21 assists, which 11 goals created in the continental competition alone, however six of those were in the qualifying rounds. He also provided eight PSL assists. Kekana, Zwane and Laffor each scored three goals that were created by the Uruguayan playmaker.
Downs have seen 17 different players contribute an assist across the side's 71 goals. In the first eight months of the season, Mosimane's side scored just eight set-play goals, but they netted four times from these situations in April and May with crucial goals by Kekana against Golden Arrows and Chippa United from set-plays in the title run-in.
Ahead of next season, Pitso Mosimane has spoken about the need to scout for a genuine number nine to take the scoring burden off his attacking midfield players.
