Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of Bongani Sam, just one season after his arrival at Naturena.

The Soweto giants released a statement on Wednesday, revealing that they had “amicably agreed to part ways” with the Gqeberha-born left back, who joined the club from arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in July 2024.
Sam, 27, struggled for consistent game time under the various coaches that came through during his short stint at Amakhosi, and with the club undergoing a major rebuild ahead of the new season, both parties decided to call time on the relationship.
