Junior 'Aghahowa' Khanye has responded to the question of his notable absence from Kaizer Chiefs' legends squad for this weekend's match.
Chiefs' Legends will play against Bloemfontein Celtic Legends on Sunday afternoon ahead of the inaugural Toyota Cup match for the Amakhosi first team and Tanzanian giants Young Africans at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, Free State.

In their squad, Chiefs' legends, who will be coached by former midfield great Thabo Mooki, have included Brian Baloyi and Tladi Mathibe as the two goalkeepers, with Cyril Nzama, Bevan Fransman, Morgan Gould, Tsepo Masilela, Derick Spencer and Fabian McCarthy as the defenders.
In midfield, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Willard Katsande, Josta Dladla, Thuso Phala, Mandla Masango, Jabu Mahlangu and Stanton Fredericks have been selected, while David Radebe, Collins Mbesuma and Bernard Parker are the strikers.
"It's not the first time that I have been asked this question and I'm happy that I get to address this issue once and for all. Not being selected for the team of Chiefs' legends isn't something that is giving me sleepless nights. If I was someone who wakes up in the morning with nothing to do, I would get very worried. It's not like I've got nowhere to play at all, because I do get invited for games elsewhere as you might have seen recently that I was part of the celebrity team during their social games, and for me that's enough. Thanks to the Hip Hop guys for their invitation for me to be part of their team and life goes on. I know football and I understand these things, and therefore I don't take the (Chiefs) selection, or none of it, seriously. I don't spend too much time worrying about their selection, and I wasn't even aware of the players they have selected for the upcoming match," said Khanye, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.

"But because you have reminded me about it with your question, I feel I do need to acknowledge Kaizer Chiefs as a football club for how big they are, and as I always say, I have huge respect for Bra K (Kaizer Motaung, Chiefs chairman), Bobby (Motaung, Chiefs Football Manager) and everyone at the club. Chiefs gave me the platform to play football at professional level, and for that I will always have respect for them. My focus now is on my Reality Show – the Junior Khanye Fixing The Game, as well as my Podcast that I am starting," he concluded.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that former South Africa U23 international Thiyekile 'Ace' Gulwa has since been included in the Celtic legends squad after he was initially left out from the original team.
