Usually one to reserve his comments, Khumalo shocked the local fraternity when he revealed on Soccer Zone that six players have been deemed surplus to requirements at Naturena and will subsequently be loaned out for the 2024/25 season.
"I have seen the names of the players that they have asked to loan out. There are six players but it's not my duty to name them here. The coach asked if they can loan them out. Two of them are nursing injuries at the moment," he said.
Further digging by the crew, led to insiders revealing that indeed the likes of George Matlou, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Aden McCarthy, Dillan Solomons, Tebogo Potsane and Sabelo Radebe are the players who could be loaned out by Chiefs.
This is also, as part of Chiefs' plans to welcome their new recruits in Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari and Rushwin Dortley who have all been signed by the club, the insider revealed.
Chiefs are set to return to the country where they are expected to take on Young Africans in the inaugural Toyota Cup on 28 July in Bloemfontein.
