On this week's SL Fashion Feature, we look at Cape Town Spurs midfielder Keagan Buchanan's fashion venture that's set to take off this December.
Here's what we can expect from his REFVND brand.
What's the story?
The effortlessly stylish Keagan Buchanan is diving straight into the uncompromising fashion game with his brand, REFVND.
Buchanan will serve as both the founder and creative director of REFVND, a brand that focuses on luxury athleisure, potentially following in the footsteps of Off-White and Rhude.

Let's take a closer look at what Buchanan's REFVND could offer...
What to expect from REFVND
During the mid-2010s, world renowned and talented fashion designers such as Riccardo Tisci and Alexander Wang helped reinvigorate a fantastic way of wearing sports clothing.
Tisci's work at Nike and Wang's work with adidas and her own, self-named brand gave way to the likes of Off-White under the late fashion icon Virgil Abloh and Rhuigi Villasenor with Rhude to experiment with luxury sportswear design.
Athleisure and streetwear go hand-in-hand, and its become a successful and social phenomenon that's taken over the fashion industry over the last decade.
From Basketball jerseys to its sneakers, bicycle shorts (shout out Kim Kardashian), skateboarding sneakers and the most recently football jerseys, mainly vintage, athleisure is everywhere!
Luxury brands like Dior, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga, and Louis Vuitton have embraced luxury athleisure in recent years, helping to inspire the likes of Kith and Aime Leon Dore to do the same and grow in prominence.
This is the type of space Buchanan will be exploring with REFVND, and judging by his taste, we could see a beautiful blend of Off-White, Rhude, PUMA and sporty Gucci with REFVND.

The Cape Town-based brand will compete with the likes of Sol Sol, Broke, FLOAT Apparel, Good Good Good and Grade Africa among others in the Mother City's saturated streetwear brands market.
Buchanan will have his work cut out to create something unique and hopes his remarkable personal style will translate into his designs and the final product.
REFVND is expected to drop its first collection Spring/Summer collection this December, with "The Fixer" yet to show followers a glimpse into any of the brand's first designs.
It's unclear if the REFVND logo is meant to pay homage to Virgil Abloh's Off-White, with REFVND seemingly using parts of the Italian-based brand's emblem.
Their logo could also be interpreted as two arrows joining at the bottom.
Buchanan has shown a liking to baggy trousers ranging from cargo pants to jeans — with clean kicks, and accessories like flat Baseball caps.
In terms of sportswear, he recently styled in a loose-fitted cycling top from Rhude and he's of course, dripped out in football jerseys from PUMA's big clubs like Manchester City and Olympique Marseille.
Whether he'll be designing cycling tops and his own football jerseys will be revealed in due time. On REFVND's Instagram page, four accounts are followed including Mr and Mrs Buchanan.
A young, designer friend of Buchanan's, Mohammed Bah and a photographer he's worked closely with, Emihle Dlamini.
Both creatives have collaborated with Buchanan during his time at AmaZulu in Durban, where he modelled some of Bah's merch from his boutique streetwear brand Nacao Cabra.
With the REFVND following Dlamini and Bah, it could be an indication that they'll be part of the Cape Town Spurs midfielder's exciting new venture, that could carry him well into his days after football.
