Mammila Sparks Rumors: Pitso's Possible Comeback to Mzansi?

Pitso Mosimane during a media conference at BMW Midrand on 3 June 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Chippa United's Morgan Mammila has taken to social media to speculate over Abha Club head coach Pitso Mosimane's future.

Check it out!

What's the story?

Morgan Mammila, the eccentric character that's known for his cheeky press conferences among other things, seems to be sure that Pitso Mosimane is returning to South Africa.

The Chippa United Technical Director took to Twitter to express his excitement for next season and Jingles' return to the DStv Premiership.

Let's take a closer look...

Mammila speculates over Pitso's future

Chippa United's Morgan Mammila enjoys Twitter/X banter as much as anyone, where he regularly tags friend and former employer, Moroka Swallows chairperson, David Mogoshoa in his posts.

Morgan's most recent post sees him stir the pot a bit and add fuel to the speculation over Pitso Mosimane's future.

"Jingles" is currently coaching Abha Club, a team he joined this year on a short-team deal and who sit one point above the relegation zone in the Saudi Pro League.

"[I] can't wait for the start of the DStv Premiership 2024/25 season wesho, @DavidMogashoa. The boss @TheRealPitso is back. He is coming back home," wrote Mammila, attaching a snippet of Pitso's iconic 'I benefitted and I have no shame' post match interview from the 2019 Telkom Knockout final.

Take a look:

It could easily be a case of Morgan's usual inside jokes with Mogashoa but it won't stop the rumour mill from churning, as Pitso aims to keep Abha in Saudi Football's top flight before his contract expires at the end of the season.

The five-time DStv Premiership winner has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in the past, but is now reportedly prioritising a national team job as his next project.

Pitso could also still extend with Abha beyond this season, as reported by various media outlets after his wife and agent, Moira Tlhagale spoke to iDiski Times.
