The story
Shortly before Mamelodi Sundowns secured the Betway Premiership crown on Wednesday, the coach and two star players paid a visit to a young Downs fan from East London.
Bafana Bafana main men, Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau, joined Miguel Cardoso in visiting youngster Nyakallo Mazibuko, who is currently in hospital receiving treatment for leukaemia.
Mazibuko, who is from Queenstown, shared a video a week ago on Instagram that caught the attention of Mokoena, where he asks for a jersey and shorts from his aforementioned heroes.
The video did the rounds among the Sundowns supporters online, resulting in Mokoena making a promise that he'll make an effort to visit him.
On Wednesday, the youngster shared a couple of posts of his meeting with Cardoso and the players, where he showcased his jersey from Mudau and shorts from Mokoena.
After Downs' comfortable 3-0 win over Chippa United at Buffalo City, senior assistant coach Steve Komphela touched on the team's visit to Life St Dominic's Hospital to see Nyakallo, stating that the gesture falls in line with the club's values.
