The FC Barcelona talisman recently revealed an iPhone XS Max, the traditional model starting at around R18 000. Messi's phone, however, has a special touch and is covered in gold.

The phone, dipped in 24-carat gold, consists of the team crests of both FC Barcelona and Argentina, the name of his wife Antonella, his three children Thiago, Mateo and Ciro as well as his now famed jersey number, 10.
Naturally, Messi's iPhone could easily have doubled in value by being bathed in gold. A luxury that will console the Argentine after a turbulent week. He featured in a 3-1 defeat to Venezuela in Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
