Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane was pleased to see his keep a clean sheet in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first-round tie.
The Brazilians secured their spot in the group stage phase of the CAF Champions League after defeating Al Ahli Benghazi 4-0 in their second leg clash on Saturday afternoon.
Mosimane also claimed that it was vital that his side managed to get the second goal just before the halftime break.
"We started a little bit slow. We created a few chances in the opening minutes. I think their goalkeeper was making brilliant saves, but we kept coming and the goal had to come," Mosimane told SuperSport after the game.
"And the most important goal for us was the second goal. The second goal gave us a little bit of security which is very good, but we kept going.
"I think we could have scored two or three more at the end because they got tired."
The Absa Premiership champions did well to not a concede a single goal in both legs, something which Mosimane was happy with.
"For me, it's important to keep clean sheets first and second is to score the goals. We did what we had to do. You saw the first 10-15 minutes what they wanted to do.
"They killed the time. How many times was the goalkeeper down and their players, but once you score the goals they don't go down.
"It's was the story in Atteridgeville in our last league game. If you score first, you are done," he said.
