Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic has urged his players to avoid just making up the numbers in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
The Buccaneers narrowly beat African Stars of Namibia 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in Windhoek to join 16 other teams who will be split into four groups during the draw in Cairo on Friday.
"It was an important target and we have reached it with the support of the technical team and our supporters," Sredojevic told the Siya crew.
"Being among the top 16 teams on the continent at present is a special honour. But we need to show that we are not there just for the numbers – we look forward to show that our dream is the biggest. Our next target is to get past the group, and once we've done that we will plan for each game as it comes. Right now we are enjoying the prestigious honour of being among the 16."
