RATINGS:

Denis Onyango – 6.5/10   Was key to making two goal-ridden saves in either half, and at times looked their best player at how he managed to guide his defence to keep the visitors at bay.   Anele Ngcongca – 5/10   Had an off day as he never really settled from the first minute, hence his substitution at the start of the second half.   Ricardo Nascimento- 6/10   Never brought the sense of serendipity, and was guilty a few times of giving away too much possession in dangers areas.   Wayne Arendse – 6/10   Struggled at times with the pace of the game and the way the Horoya attacked from all angles, though improved slightly as time clicked on.   Tebogo Langerman – 6.5/10   No doubt the club's best performer on the day. 'Langa' bossed the left side in both periods and his cross-cum shot struck the top of the crossbar.   Tiyani Mabunda – 6/10   Mabunda lacked a bit of bite in the opening sequence, but towards the end of the second stanza improved before his exit in the last 13 minutes.   Hlompho Kekana – 6.5/10   Other than a few shots from range especially in the first half, the skipper drifted in and out of the game and didn't assert his usual authority in the middle.   Gaston Sirino – 6.5/10   The Uruguayan was livewire for the Brazilians on the left flank, but he did have a couple sights at goal which he could not capatlise on.    Themba Zwane – 5/10   'Mshini' found it tough to get the partnership going with Sibusiso Vilakazi and Sirino but was tracked at every corner.   Sibusiso Vilakazi – 5/10   Like his counterpart, Vilakazi appeared rarely in both first and second periods as he was guilty to losing possession far too often with no insight to dominate the opposing third.   Jeremy Brockie – 5/10   Another frustrating evening for the New Zealand striker as his search for a first goal at Sundowns goes on.   Substitutes:   Motjeka Madisha – 5/10   Replaced Ngcongca at halftime, and was slotted to right-back from his usual centre-back position. Other than being caught for pace a few times, wasn't fully tested in all fairness.   Anthony Laffor – 5/10   Brought on for an in-effective Brockie on 56 minutes, the Liberian known for being a match winner of the bench struggled to provide impact as he hardly got a sniff of the ball.   Lebohang Maboe – NA   Only played for the final 12 minutes of the game and was rarely involved any attacks.
