A former Kaizer Chiefs winger has joined a new club just in time to face old Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League.
Edmore Chirambadare was signed by FC Platinum last Friday after leaving National First Division outfit Maccabi FC, a club he joined following his Amakhosi exit at the end of last season.

The Buccaneers travel to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe tomorrow for their Champions League group stage opener on Saturday, and Chirambadare – possibly a marquee signing for the home side – could be in line for his debut.
It's a fixture that will set the tone for both clubs in a group that also includes reigning champions Esperance of Tunisia and Guinea's Horoya.
Chirambadare, 26, joined Chiefs from Chicken Inn FC two seasons ago but hardly made an impression – although he surprisingly scooped up the club's Most Improved Player award in his first year there.
His contract was terminated prior to the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign and he found a home at Maccabi FC but has now returned to his native country to try and resurrect his career.

Should he start against Pirates on Saturday, Chirambadare could be determined to prove a point against his former team's bitter rivals.
