Banyana Banyana defender, Janine Van Wyk has been nominated for the CAF Women's Player of the Year award.

The Banyana defender played a key role as the South Africans finished fourth at the Africa Women's Cup of Nations.
Van Wyk was also included in the AWCON Team of the Tournament for her displays.

Youth Player of the Year: Alex Iwobi (Nigeria), Eric Ayiah (Ghana), Fracnk Kessi (Ivory Coast), Sandra Onsah (Ghana), Sidiki Maiga (Mali).
The 2016 Glo-CAF Awards Gala is scheduled to be hold on Thursday, 5 January 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.
