Banyana Banyana rallied back from a goal down to defeat Malawi 3-1 in their second COSAFA Women's Cup clash on Friday.
Kaylin Swart, Janine Van Wyk, Robyn Moodaly, Hildah Magaia and Ongeziwe Ndlangisa returned from the record-breaking victory over Comoros.
Banyana were behind on five minutes after Asimenye Simwaka beat the offside trap from inside the area to fire underneath Swart.
Chikondi Gondwe looked to double the tally on 10 minutes, but hit the top of the woodwork with a looping shot from outside the box.
The holders struggled to get in to gear, with the She Flames ruling the roast on all fronts of the spectrum in the windy city.
Banyana drew level from a short-corner after 36 minutes as Lebohang Ramalepe's cross-cum delivery nestled in to the near post.
The interval saw Van Wyk removed for Noko Matlou through injury, with Mercy Sikelo replacing Samir Amidu in goal through the same stimulus.
In trying to control matters, the tournament record-holders called on the services of Noxolo Cesane with Hildah Magaia sacrificed.
Banyana's refreshed approach paid dividends on 68 minutes when Cesane pounced on a loose ball to find the bottom corner from close-range.
In the final 15 minutes, Busisiwe Ndimeni looked to triple their tally but Sikelo calmly palmed the effort for a corner.
Banyana finally made it three in the last eight minutes after Amanda Mthandi combined with Refiloe Jane to tap home from the far side.
The result ascends Desiree Ellis's to the summit of Group A ahead of their final group stage clash against Madagascar.
