The hosts continued to put the pressure on South Africa, but Janine van Wyk came close to scoring for the visitors in the 77th minute, sending an effort just wide. The winner came in the 83rd minute when Cameroon were rewarded for their persistence as Ngo netted the solitary strike to claim the win.
