Banyana Banyana had to settle for fourth spot at the Africa Women's Cup of Nations after they lost 1-0 to Ghana in their third/fourth play-off.

Ghana goalkeeper, Patricia Mantey was called into action in the 33rd minute, as he produced a fine save to keep out Jane's header.
Banyana were forced into a change just before the break when Bambanani Mbane picked up a knock and was replaced by Noko Matlou.
Desiree Ellis' charges carved out one more opening on the stroke of halftime when Janine Van Wyk forced Mantey into a superb save with a powerful effort.
Ghana broke the deadlock shortly after the halftime break as Eshun profited from sloppy defending to fire past Andile Dlamini.

Ellis' charges continued to push for an equaliser, but came against an inspired Mantey, who produced a couple fine saves to deny Banyana.
