Baxter is currently in the process of sorting out preparations for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Egypt after Bafana Bafana secured their spot with an impressive win away from home against Libya, and the Briton is eager to make sure that he gets the best information possible before he selects his final squad.
Having been appointed by the South African Football Association almost two years ago, Baxter has always urged communication and cooperation between the association and the clubs, travelling the country to meet with fellow head coaches from around the Premier Soccer League.
Now, with just a few weeks to go before Baxter names arguably his most important Bafana squad, it appears that he will be doing the rounds once again – hence his visit to Soweto on Thursday morning.

When contacted about his trip to Naturena, Baxter said, "Yeah, I was at Kaizer Chiefs yesterday and I'm meeting the technical team of Orlando Pirates today. When Pitso is back from CAF then I'm hoping that there's time to meet him too. I want to sit down with them and discuss our plans for the AFCON – the players that I'm hoping to have involved etc – and I'll be in touch with other coaches too.
"I've spoken before about getting everybody on the same page, and the plan by opening myself up to my colleagues is to get a better idea of the players that they work with on a daily basis."
Bafana have been drawn against Ivory Coast, Morocco and Namibia in their AFCON group, with the team looking to get out of the group stages for the first time since 2013.
