UEFA Super Cup Starting XI: Bayern Munich v Sevilla 24 September 2020

Bayern Munich will be looking to claim the first piece of silverware for the season when they clash with Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup this evening in Budapest.

UEFA Super Cup

Teams: Bayern Munich v Sevilla

Date: 24 September 2020

Venue: Puskas Arena

The Bavarians secured the spot the clash after winning the Champions League title with a narrow 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain while Sevilla overcame Inter Milan in the Europa League final.

Hansi-Dieter Flick's charges started their new domestic campaign with an 8-0 hammering of Schalke in the Bundesliga opener last Friday.

In comparison, the Spanish side are yet to play in the new LaLiga season, with a 3-2 victory over Levante in a friendly match last Tuesday being their only preparatory outing since winning the UEFA Europa League crown.

Sevilla edged Inter Milan in a five-goal thriller in the Europa League final, winning the competition for the sixth time in 15 years.

As a result, Los Palanganas will be competing for the fourth time in the Super Cup final in six years but they have lost the previous three finals.

The sides' only previous meeting was in the 2017/18 season, where Bayern edged Sevilla 2-1 on aggregate in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

Here's how they line up:

Bayer Munich: Neuer, Pavard, Süle, Hernandez, Alaba, Kimmich, Goretzka, Gnabry, Sane, Müller, Lewandowski.

Sevilla: Bono; Jesús Navas, Koundé, Carlos, Escudero; Fernando, Jordán, Rakitic; Suso, Ocampos; De Jong.
