Chelsea moved to the top of the group with a 3-0 victory over ten-man Rennes at Stamford Bridge.

Timo Werner opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 10th minute before Dalbert Henrique Chagas Estevao was red-carded in the 40th minute and gave away a penalty which Werner converted to make 2-0.

Tammy Abraham scored in the 50th minute to make the result more comfortable for the Blues.

Sevilla claimed a thrilling 3-2 victory over Krasnodar despite playing the entire second half with ten men.

Krasnodar quickly took a 2-0 lead through Magomed Suleymanov (17') and Marcus Berg (21'). Ivan Rakitic scored for the hosts in the 42nd minute before Jesus Navas was red-carded in first-half stoppage time.

However, the LaLiga outfit rallied superbly and completed a remarkable turnaround through Youssef En-Nesyri's second-half brace.

Idrissa Gueye was sent off as Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to RB Leipzig.

Angel di Maria broke the deadlock in the sixth minute. Christopher Nkunku (41') and Emil Forsberg (57') turned it around for the Bundesliga outfit.

Gueye was sent off in the 69th minute to add insult to injury for the Parisians.

Borussia Dortmund took control of Group F with a 3-0 win over Club Brugge in Belgium on Wednesday night.

Thorgan Hazard opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Erling Braut Haaland grabbed a brace with the Germans doing all of the damage in the first half.
