UEFA Champions League Wrap, 6 November 2018

It was a great matchday four in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night as Atletico Madrid downed Borussia Dortmund while FC Porto moved to the top of their group and Tottenham Hotspur picked up their first win.

Atletico Madrid 2-0 Dortmund

Atletico Madrid moved tie on points with Dortmund at the top of Group A after beating the German side 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Saul opened the scoring for Madrid in the 33rd minute and Antoine Griezmann made certain of the Spanish side's victory with their second goal in the 80th minute.

The win sees Madrid on nine points alongside Dortmund, but behind the German team on goal difference in Group A.

Monaco 0-4 Club Brugge

Club Brugge picked up their first win in the Champions League with an impressive 4-0 thumping of Monaco at Stade Louis II.

Hans Vanaken opened the scoring for Brugge in the 12th minute and doubled their lead with his second goal five minutes later.

Brazilian Wesley scored his side's third goal in the 24th minute before Ruud Vormer made it 4-0 five minutes before time.

The loss leaves Monaco bottom of Group A with one point from four matches while Brugge are third on the standings with four points.

Tottenham 2-1 PSV

Tottenham picked up their first win in Group B after beating PSV 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

PSV started well and opened the scoring in the second minute courtesy of a goal from Luuk de Jong, but Tottenham hit back with the equaliser in the 78th minute thanks to a goal from Harry Kane.

Kane found his second goal a minute from time to steal victory for the English club.

The win sees Tottenham in third place in Group B with four points, three points behind second placed Inter while PSV are last with one point. Barcelona top the group with ten points.

Porto 4-1 Lokomotiv Moscow

Porto moved to the top of Group D after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 4-1 at the Estádio do Dragão.

The Portuguese team started like a house on fire and opened the scoring after only two minutes courtesy of a goal from Hector Herrera.

Malian Moussa Marega scored Porto's second goal in the 42nd minute while Jesus Manuel Corona made certain of the victory with the side's third goal just after the hour mark. The icing on the cake was Porto's third goal, scored by Otavio in the 93rd minute.

The win takes Porto to the top of Group D with ten points from four games, two head of Schalke while Lokomotiv Moscow are bottom of the table with zero points.

Schalke 2-0 Galatasaray

Schalke maintained their unbeaten run in Group D with a 2-0 win over Galatasaray at the Veltins Arena.

Guido Burgstaller opened the scoring for Schalke in the fourth minute and Mark Uth doubled their lead in the 57th minute.

The win sees Schalke in second place in Group D on eight points, two behind Porto while Galatasaray are third with four points.
