UEFA Champions League Starting XI: Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain

UEFA Champions League Starting XI: Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United go into their clash against Paris Saint-Germain tonight needing just one point to progress to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Teams: Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain

Date: 2 December 2020

Venue: Old Trafford

Time: 22:00

The Red Devils were drawn into one of the toughest UCL groups on paper, but managed to beat the Parisians in France before demolishing RB Leipzig 5-0.

Their plans unravelled with a 2-1 loss at Istanbul Basaksehir, but it was a result United avenged by hammering the Turkish side 4-1 in England last week.

PSG have had a torrid time in the group stage to date, despite having gone all the way to the final in last season's competition. They do go into this game off of a victory, though, having beaten RB Leipzig 1-0 last week.

They lost 2-1 at home to United in the first gameweek of the 2020/21 UCL season, but will take confidence in the fact that their solitary Champions League trip to Old Trafford ended 2-0 in their favour, back in the 2018/19 tournament.

Interestingly, that result marked United's only defeat in 15 games against French opposition across all European competitions, having won 10 and drawn four.

Manchester United: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Martial, Rashford, Cavani.

Paris Saint-Germain: Keylor Navas; Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Diallo; Paredes, Danilo Pereira, Verratti; Mbappé, Kean, Neymar.
