Paris Saint-Germain sealed passage to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the second leg on Wednesday night.
Kylian Mbappe started on the bench after testing negative for the Coronavirus, with Dortmund showing just one change in Jadon Sancho who replaced Julian Brandt.
Thus, the Ligue 1 giants got off to a perfect start after Neymar arrived in the area to head home Angel Di Maria's corner after getting ahead of Achraf Hakimi two minutes to the half-hour mark.
Dortmund could've gone level minutes before halftime as Sancho played a one-two down the left-flank before firing in from a tight angle which proved no trouble for Keylor Navas.
As such, PSG surged further ahead after Juan Bernat stuck out a boot to turn home Pablo Sarabia's delivery across the six-yard box on the cusp of halftime.
Whilst Dortmund searched for an early goal after halftime, PSG went close to a third through Di Maria on 54 minutes but goalkeeper Roman Burki gathered safely.
Despite leading by two goals, PSG coach Thomas Tuchel called more firepower from the dugout following the midway point, as Sarabia made way for Mbappe.
Dortmund kept coming afterwards, with Erling Braut Haland, scorer of two goals in the first-leg, on the end of a dangerously looking move up front.
Dortmund would finish the match with ten players after Emre Can got a straight red in the final minute following a foul on Neymar Junior.
In the end, PSG had completed the comeback in the two-legged clash for a spot in the last eight of Europe's premier club competition.
