UEFA Champions League Result: Barcelona 3-0 BATE Date: 4 November 2015 Venue: Camp Nou Barcelona strengthened their spot at the top of Group E with a 3-0 win over BATE in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. The Catalans threatened the BATE goal in the 15th minute when superb build-up play resulted in Neymar getting through on goal but Sergey Chernik came off his line to take the ball away from the Brazilian. The BATE keeper was called upon to save his side again in the 27th minute. Neymar created the chance by beating a couple of defenders before crossing for Munir El Haddadi who volleyed at the top corner only to see the gloveman palm it away. Barcelona were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute when Munir was broght down after a one-two with Luis Suarez. The contact seemed minimal but the spot-kick was given and Neymar slotted it two minutes later. BATE had a great shout for a penalty in the 51st minute when Stasevich seemed to be pushed to the ground by Adriano but the referee decided it wasn't worth a spot-kick. The hosts' lead was doubled on the hour mark. Neymar was the creator as he cut in from the left before laying it off to Suarez who took a touch before placing his shot in the bottom left corner of the goal. It was almost three to the hosts when Neymar again made his way into the BATE box to strike low at the far corner, but the keeper made another save. The result was secured in the 83rd minute as Neymar completed his brace. Suarez turned provider as he slid a perfect pass to his team-mate from the right channel. Neymar did the rest with a placed shot.
