European football's governing body announced its annual Team of the Year on Friday, after 1.8 million votes were cast by users on UEFA's official website.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen was voted the preferred goalkeeper, receiving 30.4% of the votes to make his debut appearance in the team.
The back four is made up of three Real Madrid players plus Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, who was being chosen in 46.2% of the voters' teams. The other three in defense are Sergio Ramos with 49.7% of the votes, Raphael Varane with 44.9%, and Marcelo, who received 61.1%.
Luka Modric was the most selected player overall, making it into 68.5% of the voters' teams. He is accompanied in midfield by Chelsea duo N'Golo Kante with 53%, and Eden Hazard with 57.9%.
Upfront, Kylian Mbappe with 38.6%, was paired with Lionel Messi, who received 63.7%, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who was being nominated in 64.3% of the teams.

Los Blancos have the most players, four, in UEFA's Team of the Year, followed by Chelsea and FC Barcelona with two of their stars, while Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Liverpool have one representative each.
There was no African in the team after Liverpool superstar Salah was somewhat surprisingly snubbed from the selection.
