Two-time Champions League-winning manager Sir Alex Ferguson is the most-capped coach in the competition's history after overseeing 190 UCL matches during his time with Manchester United. The Scottish legend retired in 2013, having lifted the trophy in 1999 and 2008.
Ferguson is followed closely by long-time rival Arsene Wenger, who took charge of 178 UCL fixtures across his spells with AS Monaco and Arsenal. The Frenchman never won the competition, but reached the final with the Gunners in 2006.

Carlo Ancelotti rounds out the top three after amassing 165 Champions League appearances with Parma, AC Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli. He is one of only three managers to have won the UCL/European Cup on three separate occasions.
The Italian is followed by Jose Mourinho, who is the only other manager to have taken charge of more than 150 Champions League matches (151 in total) during his career. A winner of the competition with FC Porto and Inter Milan, Mourinho also featured with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and current club Tottenham Hotspur.
