Despite travelling to Rome with Real Madrid for their UEFA Champions League tie on Tuesday night, Isco was snubbed for the matchday squad. His manager has since explained the decision.

Santiago Solari has reportedly been frustrated with the playmaker since taking over the job from Julen Lopetegui, and has gone into matches far more without the player than with him.
This theme continued on Tuesday night, when Isco was left out of Real's final squad to take on Roma, but Solari has insisted the decision was nothing personal.
"These are calls that you make in a certain moment," the manager said, according to ESPN.
"We are here to do that, nothing else. It was a sporting decision, nothing else. There are no starters, or substitutes, in football.
"It is up to all players to be at 100%, so the coaches pick them."
