Messi and Ronaldo boast a combined 248 goals across UEFA's club competitions, including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup tournaments, with Ronaldo (131) pipping long-time rival Messi (117) to the top spot in the all-time top goalscorers list.
While Ronaldo holds the overall scoring record, Messi has netted against 36 different teams across the various competitions, which is one more than the Portugal international and more than any other player in the history of the respective competitions.
Among those 36 teams, Premier League outfit Arsenal have fallen victim to the FC Barcelona forward's goalscoring exploits the most times, with Messi scoring nine goals in just six UCL appearances against the Gunners.
English teams, in general, have suffered the most at the 32-year-old's hands, with the record six-time Ballon d'Or winner having scored 26 of his 117 UEFA club goals against teams from England's top flight, namely: Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Ronaldo's favoured opponents, on the other hand, are his current employers Juventus, against whom he netted 10 times during his time with Real Madrid – including a brace in Los Blancos' 2016/17 Champions League final triumph over the Bianconeri.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner also appears to enjoy playing against Bundesliga opposition, boasting 28 goals against sides from Germany, which is at least 10 goals more than he has scored against clubs from any other nation, collectively.
