Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has sent a message to his former teammate Edinson Cavani ahead of their UEFA Champions League tie with Manchester United on Tuesday.
The Uruguayan striker left the French giants in August after spending seven years at the Parc des Princes, during which he became the club's all-time top goalscorer with 200 strikes in 301 games.
Cavani joined United as a free agent and could be available for their European tie with his former team this week, having finally begun training with his new colleagues.
If he does play, the 33-year-old will be going up against his former teammates and friends, including Mbappe, who said it would not be weird facing Cavani.
"Not at all, he is in a different team now," the France forward told TF1.
"I wish him the best. We are going to play against him and try to beat him."
Cavani scored 35 goals in 62 Champions League games for Napoli and PSG, while Mbappe has found the back of the net 19 times in 35 UCL matches for Monaco and his current club.
