Benzema scored the first of two very late goals to help Los Blancos secure a 2-2 draw away at Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
That goal marked an incredible milestone, with the Frenchman having now netted in 16 consecutive UCL campaigns.
Messi is the only other player to have achieved that feat to date, while Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs also scored in 16 campaigns, but did not achieve this in consecutive tournaments.
There were some other interesting statistics from the match, with the 2-2 draw marking the second consecutive season in which Real have failed to win their opening two matches.
Casemiro's goal in the 93rd minute was also the club's second-latest match-tying goal in an away game in the Champions League, with Pedro Leon's 94th minute equaliser on the 2010/11 group stage being the latest.

It was also the first time in 11 seasons that the Spanish giants had avoided a loss after being down by two goals in the last five minutes of a match.
