Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is closing in on an impressive record currently held by FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The Portugal international scored Juventus' first goal in their 2-1 win over Ferencvaros in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
It was Ronaldo's first goal in the competition this season and his ninth in all competitions in 2020/21.
The former Real Madrid star has now scored against 34 different opponents in the Champions League.
Although clear in second, Ronaldo is still chasing Messi, who has netted against 36 teams in the competition.
Ronaldo's strike against the Hungarian side also brought about another milestone, with the former Real Madrid star joining Karim Benzema and Messi as the only players to score in 15 or more consecutive Champions League campaigns.
Both the Argentine and Benzema have scored in 16 editions of the tournament to date.
