United and the rest of the clubs partaking in this season's UCL campaign had to register their squad for the 2020/21 season on Wednesday.
The Red Devils named all three of their deadline day signings, namely Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, as well as Donny van de Beek, who joined the club in September, in their 25-man selection – their fourth deadline day signing, Amad Diallo, will only arrive at Old Trafford in January.
The Manchester club's UCL squad includes regulars such as Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Antony Martial, Marcus Rashford and David de Gea.
However, there was no space for goalkeeper Sergio Romero, and defenders Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.
While Romero has fallen down the pecking order after Dean Henderson returned from his loan stint at Sheffield United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named Lee Grant in the squad ahead of the Argentine, while Jones and Rojo are seemingly also not in the coach's plans going forward.
Several homegrown players such as Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams were not named in the official squad either, but players younger than 21 who spent at least two years in the club's youth ranks since turning 15 can be named on a "B list" and will still be eligible to play.
United have been drawn in Group H alongside Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.
