Napoli's stuttering form in Serie A continued after they drew 1-1 with Genoa at Stadio San Paolo.
The visitors got off to a bad start when Stefano Sturaro was shown a straight red card after 28 minutes. Napoli then took the lead through Dries Mertens in the 36th minute, but Genoa restored parity through Darko Lazovic on the stroke of halftime.

Fiorentina 1-0 Frosinone Frosinone boosted their survival hopes with a 1-0 victory away to Fiorentina. Daniel Ciofani got the game's only goal for the visitors with six minutes remaining in the second half.
Udinese 3-2 Empoli Udinese moved further away from the relegation zone after defeating fellow strugglers Empoli 3-2 on home soil. Rodrigo de Paul netted a brace while Rolando Mandragora was also on target for Udinese, while Francesco Caputo and Rade Krunic netted for the away side.
Cagliari 2-1 SPAL Cagliari returned to winning ways in the Italian top flight with a 2-1 victory over SPAL on Sunday afternoon. Paolo Farago and Leonardo Pavoletti secured the goals for Cagliari, who move up to 11th spot.
