Result: Juventus 2-1 Hellas Verona

Venue: Allianz Stadium

Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net as Juventus rallied from behind to defeat Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday evening.

Paulo Dybala returned to the Juve line-up while there was a full debut for former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey who lined up in the midfield alongside Rodrigo Bentancur  and Blaise Matuidi.

The Old Lady struggled in the early parts of the encounter as they struggled to carve out openings and were restricted to efforts from distance.

With 18 minutes player, Verona were awarded a penalty after Di Carmine went down under the challenge of Demiral. However, Di Carmine was unable to profit after hitting the woodwork.

The visitors did manage to make the breakthrough three minutes as Miguel Veloso found the back of the net with an unstoppable effort from distance.

Juventus weren't behind for too long as Ramsey restored parity on 31 minutes as the Welshman collected a pass from Ronaldo before firing home 25-yards out.

After a quiet end to the first half, the hosts made a telling start to the second after being awarded a penalty of their own following a foul on Juan Cuadrado. Ronaldo stepped and sent the strike into the roof of the net to hand Juve the lead.

Juve coach Maurizio Sarri then opted for a change on the hour mark as Ramsey's debut came to an end as the Welshman made way for Sami Khedira.

Verona threw bodies forward in search of an equaliser, while Sarri's troops were eager to another goal to put some daylight between the two sides.

However, the visitors finished the game with men less after Kumbulla was sent off after picking up his second yellow card in stoppage time league champions claimed the spoils.
