Juventus dropped their first points of the Serie A season after being held to a goalless draw by Fiorentina on Saturday afternoon.

Maurizio Sarri only made one change from the win over Napoli as Danilo was given a start, with Matteo de Sciglio dropping out while Fiorentina handed a start to veteran winger Franck Ribery.   However, Sarri was dealt a blow after just after eight minutes as Douglas Costa was forced off with an injury and was replaced by Federico Bernardeschi.   The hosts should have broken the deadlock at the midway point of the half as  Gaetano Castrovilli did well to pick out Chiesa who was unable to control with only Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to beat.   Fiorentina continued to push for the opening and they went close just before the break, but Szczesny proved his worth to keep out Dalbert's goal-bound header.   The chances kept falling for the home side in the second stanza but luckily for the defending champions, Chiesa was off target with the best chance on 66 minutes.   While Juventus continued to struggled in the final third, Fiorentina carved out another opening with 15 minutes remaining  as Nikola Milenkovic got on the end of Pulgar's cross, but the Serbian could only fire straight at Szczesny.   Cristiano Ronaldo had a quiet game but he had a chance to seal three points late in the half, but his acrobatic effort sailed over the crossbar as the encounter finished goalless.
