The Bianconeri ended their relationship with Allegri, who guided the Serie A giants to five consecutive Scudettos, four Coppa Italias and two UEFA Champions League finals during his five-year stint at the club, about two weeks ago.
With speculation rife as to who will be appointed as Allegri's successor, reports indicate that Juventus are keen on luring Manchester City boss Guardiola to Turin.
Despite Juve recently reiterating that the former Bayern Munich boss has not engaged in any talks with the club, Italian journalist Luca Momblano, during an appearance on TopCalcio24 television show, claimed that Guardiola remains Juve's first choice for the position, and that the Spaniard is currently having difficulties attempting to negotiate his release from the Premier League champions.
As a result of the reported delay in Guardiola's negotiations, it is believed that Juventus' stance on acquiring 2018/19 UEFA Europa League-winning mentor Sarri has changed, with the former Napoli manager now said to be on hold and waiting for the green light from the club.
Should Juventus fail in their reported pursuit of two-time Champions League winner Guardiola, the Italian giants will look to name Sarri as Allegri's successor, with the Blues boss believed to be keen on a return to Serie A.
Momblano also claimed that the Old Lady's social media team has been tasked with creating two video packages, one for Sarri and the other for Guardiola, should either of them be unveiled as the club's new manager.
