On Friday, via a tweet by their club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, Serie A side Napoli announced the signing of Hirving Lozano from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

Lozano's transfer fee is the highest Napoli have ever paid for a player, breaking the previous record of €39 million (R655 million) the club spent on Gonzalo Higuain in 2013.
The 24-year-old, who scored 40 goals in 79 appearances for PSV and won the Eredivisie title in 2018, sent a video message to the club's supporters upon his departure.

"Winning the Dutch title was one of the highlights in my career so far and my dream of ever playing UEFA Champions League has come true.
"I had a great time in Eindhoven. My family and I have always felt very much at home. Thank you everybody from the bottom of my heart!"
