Italian giants Inter Milan have officially announced the sacking of manager Luciano Spalletti, amid rumours they will appoint Antonio Conte in the coming weeks.

The Nerazzurri made the announcement via Twitter on Thursday morning, and it is one that has not come as much of a surprise to fans.
Inter thanked Spalletti for his two years in charge after revealing that the 60-year-old will not be on the sidelines next season, despite leading the club to UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

Spalletti was in charge at Inter for 90 matches, winning on 46 occasions, drawing 24 times and losing 20 matches.
