Juventus confirmed the signing of Matthijs De Ligt on Thursday for a reported fee of €85.5 million. That figure is not the highest a club has paid for a teenager, however, with two players being more pricey than the Dutch defender. Here are the 10 most expensive teenagers of all-time.

Following a protracted transfer saga, Matthijs De Ligt finally completed his move to Juventus and in doing so became one of the world's priciest teenagers. On the back of the Dutchman's mega-money move, Spanish publication AS have now released a ten-man list of the most expensive teenagers of all-time.
De Ligt signed Juventus for a reported free of €85.5 million (R1.3 billion) and now ranks as the third most expensive teenager of all-time. The 19-year old was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and Man United but ultimately cashed in on a move to Italy.

Sitting above the Dutchman in the all-time list is Joao Felix who recently joined Atletico Madrid. The Portuguese wonder-kid joined the Spanish giants for a fee of €126 million (R1.9 billion) after scoring 20 goals across all competitions for Benfica last season.
Both starlets fall some way short of table-topper Kylian Mbappe, however, after the French striker's move to PSG in 2017, aged 18. Mbappe joined the reigning Ligue 1 champions for a mammoth sum of €180 million (R2.8 billion) from rivals Monaco and has already delivered on the investment after winning last season's Golden Boot award.
