Controversial striker Mario Balotelli has once again found himself at the centre of attention after reportedly being banished from a recent training session.
On Thursday, reports emerged from Italy that Balotelli had been banished from a training session by Brescia manager Fabio Grosso.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker was dismissed by Grosso after he had approached some training drills in a lazy fashion.
The former AC Milan, Inter Milan and Manchester City forward then reportedly headed straight for the locker room, after which he left the ground altogether.
Following the incident, Brescia's press office released a brief statement explaining what had transpired.
"Balotelli was dismissed by Grosso during the practice test of the mini-match and reached the locker room prematurely," the statement read, as reported by the abovementioned Italian publication.
It remains unclear at this stage whether or not the 29-year-old will face any further action from the club.
Balotelli arrived at Brescia as a free agent from Olympique Marseille at the beginning of the season, and has scored twice in seven appearances for the club thus far.
