With Juventus wrapping up the Serie A title on Saturday, the club set a new European record, previously held by Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyon.

The Oldy Lady secured a 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium to secure their eighth successive league title.
As a result, Juventus are now the first side in Europe's top five leagues to win a league title for eight consecutive season, breaking Olympique Lyon's record of seven straight seasons.

Allegri has now claimed his fifth Serie A title and feels winning the lead with five games to spare is a big feat.
He told the club's official website,"The eighth scudetto won with five matches to play shows the importance of what has been done.
"In previous years we had some downturns, but this season, given also our fixture list, we had to put down the accelerator by force."
