A former Juventus star and his family suffered a traumatic experience on Tuesday night, when they were held at gunpoint by burglars in their home.
Marca has reported that Claudio Marchisio, who spent the majority of his career with the Bianconeri, and his wife were held up in their house in Turin by four men late on Tuesday.
The armed robbers are believed to have entered his house at around 19:30, before they forced the retired footballer and his partner Roberta to hand over their belongings.
The burglars reportedly left quickly after their raid, and Marchisio immediately called the police to inform them of the incident.
Fortunately, the 33-year-old and his wife were left unharmed, but the disturbing experience is likely to have left them shaken up.
Marchisio enjoyed a long and successful career at Juventus, representing the Italian giants on 389 occasions, and also made 55 appearances for Italy.
