Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti believes FC Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal would take the Serie A outfit to a new level if he joins them.
Vidal has been heavily linked with a departure from the Camp Nou ahead of the January transfer window after failing to get regular game time this season.
Despite his limited minutes in LaLiga, the Chile international has bagged an impressive five goals so far in this campaign, with only Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann having scored more for the Blaugrana.
Speaking about the Chilean recently, Zanetti did not confirm the Nerazzurri's interest the 32-year-old, but seemingly does feel the midfielder's presence would bolster the squad significantly were he to join.
"Vidal is a player with great character and experience, so we'll see what happens.
"We are talking about a player who can certainly take us up a level, and we are already at a good level."
The midfielder is no stranger to Italian football, having won four Serie A titles with Juventus.
