The 26-year-old joined the Italian giants on a loan deal with a reported €40 million (R600m) purchase option to buy.
According to beIN Sports correspondent and Gazetta dello Sport contributor Tancredi Palmeri, Costa became the joint third-highest paid player in Italy.
The winger reportedly pockets €6 million (R90m) at Juventus, as much as Gianluigi Donnarumma receives at AC Milan after signing his new contract.
Only Paulo Dybala, with €7 million (R105m), and Gonzalo Higuain, €7.5 million (R113m), earn more than Costa.
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi completes the top five, netting €5 million, and he is followed by Miralem Pjanic, Edin Dzeko, Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens, who all earn €4.5 million (R68m).

Sami Khedira and Gianluigi Buffon, both on €4 million (R60m), round off the top earners in Serie A, according to Palmeri.
