Zinedine Zidane: I Will Not Resign From Real Madrid Job

Zinedine Zidane: I Will Not Resign From Real Madrid Job

With Real Madrid in danger of failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages for the first time since 1997, Zinedine Zidane is under some heavy pressure, and he has now made a huge statement regarding his position as boss.

Reports: Real Considering Sacking Zidane

Los Blancos' 2-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night has left them in danger of failing to make it out of the group stage for the first time in 23 years.

Their latest defeat has led to reports suggesting that the Spanish giants could be seeking to replace Zidane, who has since addressed rumours that he might not be in his job for much longer.

Zidane has insisted he will not step down as manager of the 13-time Champions League winners, and believes he has the ability to get the team out of this difficult situation.

"I am not going to resign, not at all," he said, according to The National News.

"We are always going to have difficult moments, and we are on a bad run, but we need to keep going.

"I have the strength needed to turn the situation around and I am going to give everything to do that, so are the players."

Zidane has won 11 trophies in two spells as manager of Real, including three Champions League titles.
