Seven Stars Who Were Frozen Out By Zinedine Zidane

While Zinedine Zidane is said to be handling the Real Madrid dressing room well, these seven stars were frozen out by the Frenchman during his spells in charge of the club, and four of them have already left the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 48-year-old has won 11 trophies in his two stints with the club, and has become Los Blancos' second-most successful manager in their illustrious history.

Many believe one of Zidane's biggest strengths is handling the big egos in the dressing room, but the likes of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez might feel differently.

Bale, who is said to earn weekly wages of £600 000 (R13.6 million), has featured in only seven out of 27 games for Los Blancos in 2020, and made just two LaLiga appearances after the Spanish top flight's restart following the coronavirus break.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, recently spoke out against Zidane and Real, saying that even though he does not get the same opportunities as his teammates, he was not allowed to leave the club either.

Similar to the Welshman, the Colombian has made only seven appearances for Los Blancos in 2020, and did not feature at all in nine of the 11 LaLiga games after the restart.

However, the two current Real stars are not the only players who struggled under Zidane, with a few others having already left the club after being given limited opportunities by the Frenchman.

Mateo Kovacic, Marcos Llorente, Alvaro Morata and Keylor Navas have all found new clubs, while Dani Ceballos spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Arsenal. The 24-year-old had a good season with the Gunners, though, and will reportedly be given another chance by Zidane.
