Reports: Real Madrid Want Erling Haaland

With Real Madrid reportedly considering ending their interest in superstar Kylian Mbappe, Los Blancos have seemingly turned their attention to Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, who has outscored both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo so far this season.

According to The Sun, the 19-year-old striker will be available for about £65 million (R1.2 billion) in 2021 due to a clause in his Dortmund deal.

It is claimed that the Norwegian is the latest attacker on Real's radar, and that he could be targeted ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's contract in France expires in 2022, and Los Blancos were previously reported to be willing to wait for his deal to be close to its end before officially moving for him.

Now, the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners could be ready to prioritise Haaland next year instead, with the teenager having found the back of the net 40 times in 30 matches for Red Bull Salzburg and BVB this season.

The Bundesliga striker went up against Mbappe in the UEFA Champions League last week, and the Norway international outshone the French superstar by scoring twice in Dortmund's 2-1 victory.

Since his arrival in Germany at the beginning of January, Haaland has scored 12 goals in eight matches for his club.
